For translators

Be the bridge an idea needs to cross

Translate articles that deserve a wider audience, at your own pace or on paid requests — with clear deadlines, a shared glossary and real recognition.

How it works

  1. 1

    Apply and get approved

Create a translator account, add your languages, experience and a professional link. A translation supervisor reviews your profile before your first task.

  2. 2

Pick a task from the queue

The queue lists articles waiting in the languages you speak, ordered by priority. Claim one and it is reserved for you alone.

  3. 3

    Translate before the deadline

Each claim comes with a deadline (72 hours by default) and one 48-hour extension if you need it. Work side by side with the original and the shared glossary; release the task if plans change.

  4. 4

    Review and publication

A supervisor approves your translation or asks for changes. Approved translations are published with the article or in its group’s next issue — under your name.

Earnings, transparently

Volunteer tasks build your reputation; paid requests pay you through a built-in wallet.

Paid requests

Writers send you requests with a budget and a delivery period — or you make an offer on a posted article. You accept or decline.

Budget held up front

When a paid request is approved, the writer’s budget is held in the wallet and released to you when you deliver.

80% is yours

OneNation keeps a 20% commission on paid requests. Founding translators pay no commission for their first year.

Withdraw to your bank

Register a bank account and request a withdrawal from 20 SAR. Every movement appears in your wallet history.

Rewards that follow your work

Badges

Founding translator, Translator of the month, Best literary translation, Best religious translation and more — shown on your profile.

Certificates

Every badge comes with a printable certificate you can add to your CV.

Levels

Climb four levels as your published translations grow: 5, 20, then 50 translations.

In the spotlight

Outstanding translators can be featured on the OneNation homepage.

How translators are selected

Quality protects writers and readers alike, so every step of selection is human and every rule is the same for everyone.

  • Supervisors review every new translator profile before the first task.
  • You only see tasks in languages listed on your profile.
  • A small number of active tasks at a time keeps the queue moving for everyone.
  • Supervisors can also assign a task directly to the best-suited translator.

Recognition

We celebrate the people who keep ideas moving — with recognition badges awarded by the team.

Translator of the month

For the translator whose work stood out over the month.

Best literary translation

For a translation that kept the voice and beauty of the original.

Founding translator

For the first translators who build OneNation with us — with a year without commission.

Questions translators ask

Do I have to take paid work?
No. You can translate only from the volunteer queue, only paid requests, or both.
What if I cannot finish a task in time?
Extend it once by 48 hours, or release it so another translator can take it. An expired claim simply returns the task to the queue.
When do I get paid for a paid request?
The budget is held when the request is approved and released to your wallet when you deliver the translation, minus the 20% commission unless your founding exemption applies.
How do I become a founding translator?
The title is awarded by the OneNation team to a limited number of early translators. It removes the platform commission for one year.
Who owns my translation?
Your translation is published under your name. The rights are described on our Intellectual property and Translation agreement pages.

Languages are your craft. Ideas are waiting.
